Injustice: Gods Among Us was a 2013 video game release that featured an alternate DC timeline in which Superman becomes a ruthless world dictator. While the game was met with mostly positive reception, the best thing to come out of it was the Injustice comic book.
The latest DC Animated Movie based around New 52 is out. War was a decent start to this new Animated Universe, but man, does this version of Throne of Atlantis stumbles in places where the comic really shines.
Wonder Woman: The Hiketeia is a one shot graphic novel written by Greg Rucka and illustrated by JG Jones. It was published in 2002, one year before Greg Rucka’s run on Wonder Woman. It takes its inspiration from Greek tragedies, and uses both the story and muted illustrations to convey its message.
Arrow's mid-season finale is one for the books. Further establishing how this show does a great job at finales and how a bumpy first half of the season has an overarching plot leading to some serious moments. It also leaves us with quite the cliffhanger (pun intended).
The third volume of Geoff Johns run at New 52 Justice League is a crossover event with Aquaman called The Throne of Atlantis which brings the King of the Seven Seas and his mythology to the mainstream.
The X-Files is my favorite TV show of all time bar none. I watched it for the first time all the way through when I was 16 and it instantly stuck a chord with me. At the time I was deep into conspiracies, aliens, and cryptozoology so The X-Files was the perfect melding of all three of those things.
This week’s episode of The Flash, the first part of a two night/two episode crossover event with Arrow creates an entertaining hour of TV for both comic book fans and non comic book readers alike.
