Donnie Darko

Chris and Eric continue Time Travel Movie Month with a look at Richard Kelly’s directorial debut and cult classic Donnie Darko. The film stars a very young Jake Gyllenhaal as the eponymous Donnie, a troubled teenager who is tasked by a man-sized bunny with saving the universe. It’s a confusing yet enthralling film that still holds up over fifteen years later due to its amazing cast and novel use of time travel tropes.
