The Wicker Man (2006)

Posted in Kulturecast by - August 22, 2016

Chris and Sean near the end of their Nicolas Cage retrospective with the film that made Nic Cage a YouTube sensation the world over The Wicker Man (2006). Nic Cage is Edward Malus, a sheriff tasked with finding his missing daughter on the mysterious island of Summersisle. He discovers not all is as it seems and must don a bear suit and punch women to suss out the truth behind the pagan society. It’s as out of control a performance as we’ve seen from Nic Cage this month, and it may be his most memorable performance to date.

As always, you can follow Chris Stachiw on Twitter at @KultureStach, Sean Liang at @Seannifer and Kulture Shocked at @KultureShocked. The new intro and outro music is Wovoka’s “Lament”, and big thanks to them for allowing us to use their song. You can also subscribe to the Kulturecast on iTunes here. Also, don’t forget to check out our official Facebook page for news, upcoming reviews, contests, and new content along with our Patreon page.
