‘Hannibal’ Season Three Trailer: “We’d Love To Have You For Dinner”

If you haven’t been watching Hannibal, then you should be as it is the best show on television. I got into the show late, after the end of second season, but I’ve been hooked since the first episode. It isn’t just a wrote retread of Silence of the Lambs or Red Dragon, the show created its own twisted version of the universe, playing with the preconceived notions that the original films and novels setup.

The performances are also top-notch with Mads Mikkelsen putting his own unique spin on the Hannibal Lecter character, and Hugh Dancy’s Will Graham being a great foil for the good doctor. The third season aims to be bigger than ever with Richard Armitage to play the infamous Red Dragon, and Lecter on the run with his psychiatrist, played by Gillian Anderson. With the third season about to start, it’s as good a time as any to start watching what Dr. Lecter has up his sleeve next

After the shocking events of the season finale, Hannibal season three finds Lecter on the run in Europe — accompanied by his psychiatrist Bedelia Du Maurier (Gillian Anderson, “The X-Files”) — sporting a new identity, but servicing the same insatiable appetite. As the lives of Will (Hugh Dancy), Jack (Laurence Fishburne, The Matrix, “CSI”) and Alana (Caroline Dhavernas, “Wonderfalls,” “The Pacific”) converge toward Hannibal again, their deadly dance turns in startling and unexpected ways, and nothing will ever be the same again.

Hannibal season three starts June 4, 10/9c on NBC.
