What’s That Coming Over The Hill, is it a Monster?: Kulture Shocked’s Monster Movie Month

Posted in The Screening Room by - June 01, 2015

While Sharknado has seemingly set the gold standard for monster movies in the current era, the monster movie genre can be traced back as far the Frankenstein and Dracula released by Universal during the 1930s. However, our Monster Movie Month will be focusing on the deluge of Monster Movies that came during the 80s, 90s, and 00s. Thanks in part to SyFy becoming the destination for schlocky monster films, they have had a resurgence in recent years. Always fun and rarely serious, monster movies are great to throw on, have a few laughs, and marvel at the wizardry of practical effects. Join us, won’t you?
