Bruce Campbell signs onto 'Ash vs. Evil Dead' TV Series

As opposed to making a proper Evil Dead 4, Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell have signed on to create 10-episode half-hour series for Starz called Ash vs. Evil DeadIt's been a long time coming for Bruce Campbell who had been a major player on Burn Notice until last year. He will be returning to the character that put him and his chin on the map along with kickstarting Sam Raimi's career.

I’m really excited to bring this series to the Evil Dead fans worldwide — it’s going to be everything they have been clamoring for: serious deadite ass-kicking and plenty of outrageous humor.
— Bruce Campbell

I'm excited for the continuing adventure of Ashley J. Williams as they have been chronicled in the last couple years in multiple comic book crossovers with movie monsters. Ash is a beloved pop culture character and any fan of horror should be excited to see another chapter in the tale of Ash told, even if it is on paid cable.

Ash vs. Evil Dead will premiere on Starz in 2015.
